Russia-Hong Kong Business Association took part in the opening ceremony of the Hong Kong Film Festival in Moscow

The grand opening of the film festival "Creative visions: Cinema of Hong Kong 1997-2017" took place on the 5^th of September. The film festival will last until September 10, 2017.

The festival is devoted to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, which, in addition to Moscow and Hong Kong, will be held in Berlin, Paris, Vancouver, Seoul and London.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Russia-Hong Kong Business Association Ivan Polyakov, Executive Director of the Russia-Hong Kong Business Association Leonid Orlov, Director General of Economic and Trade Office of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in London Priscilla To, Director of the film "Love in the buff "Pan Ho chun, as well as representatives of Russian and Hong Kong business and cinema.

Natalia Goncharova, the curator of the film festival, said that the films for the festival were selected in accordance with the requests of the Moscow audience, the film festival is ready to offer films of a different genre from the musical to the drama.

Chairman of the Russia-Hong Kong Business Association, Ivan Polyakov, in his welcoming speech noted that at present Hong Kong occupies a significant place in the world cinema, having a significant impact on the development of modern cinema. Ivan Polyakov empathized that this festival is a kind of navigation tool that helps to learn new about what Hong Kong the cinema lives today.

Leonid Orlov, executive director of Russia-Hong Kong Business Association, in an interview with TV-channel BRICS, noted that in the course of the development of bilateral relations this film festival is a natural event. He expressed the hope that the festival will become an annual event.
