Russia – Hong Kong Business Association hosted the welcome reception in Riga

The European Forum organized by Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide and Hong Kong Trade Development Council is held in Riga, Latvia on May 12-13, 2016. Russia – Hong Kong Business Association Chairman Ivan Polyakov takes part in the Forum.

European Forum provides platform for heads and members of the Business Associations in Europe to meet and brainstorm at regional level on the future direction of the Business Associations in the region. Association leaders are encouraged to raise new ideas, exchange information, share experiences and initiate greater co-operation. The representatives of all 16 European national associations took part in the European Forum chaired by Stephen Wong, Regional Director Europe of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Dr. Esther Nägeli, Chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide.

The traditional welcome dinner was co-hosted by the Russia – Hong Kong Business Association and Baltic – Hong Kong Trade Association.

Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide was launched in November 2000 with the support of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. The Federation’s mission is to promote global co-operation and strengthening the relationships between the associations; to provide a unified global voice that will enhance business and investment opportunities in and through Hong Kong. The Federation is a network of 33 Hong Kong business associations counting more than 10,000 individual business executives and professionals in 34 countries and regions as member associates. Russia-Hong Kong Business Association has become the first member of the Federation to represent countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
