London hosted European Forum

Russia – Hong Kong Business Association Executive Director Leonid Orlov took part in the European Forum, which was held on May 8-9, 2014 in London, UK. European Forum provides platform for heads and members of the Business Associations in Europe to meet and to brainstorm at regional level on the future direction of the Business Associations in the region. Association leaders are encouraged to raise new ideas, exchange information, share experiences and initiate greater co-operation.

The representatives of European national associations took part in the European Forum chaired by Stephen Wong, Regional Director Europe of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Georges Legros, Chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide.

Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide was launched in November 2000 with the support of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. The Federation’s mission is to promote global co-operation and strengthening the relationships between the associations; to provide a unified global voice that will enhance business and investment opportunities in and through Hong Kong. The Federation is a network of 33 Hong Kong business associations counting more than 10,000 individual business executives and professionals in 34 countries and regions as member associates. Russia-Hong Kong Business Association has become the first member of the Federation to represent countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
