Russia-Hong Kong Business Association presented “Antarctic Classics” at the Saint-Petersburg International Economic Forum

In the framework of the cultural program of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum-2010 Russia-Hong Kong Business Association and Russian State Museum of Arctic and Antarctic presented the “Antarctic Classics” exhibition by famous Russian underwater photographer Klim Kolosov. Central exhibition object is video-installation at the round ceiling piece of Museum of Arctic and Antarctic (former St. Nicholas Church of Common Faith). There are 26 unique photographs presented at the exhibition that were made at the International Antarctic Mission Elysium dedicated to the 100^th anniversary of legend expedition of Sir Ernest Schackleton.

“Antarctic Classics” is not only and not just classic Antarctic scenes, it is also a classic shooting made with traditional film. It may be the last such shooting at the digital era”, - highlighted the author Klim Kolosov.

“Elysium Antarctic expedition is a perfect example of successful international cooperation which united the explorers from all over the world. Today we are presented with emotional aesthetic creation that demonstrates the communication between people, companies, countries and continents able to see and save the beauty”, - stated the Russia-Hong Kong Business Association Chairman Ivan Polyakov at the exhibition opening.

The exhibition is open till July 15, 2010 at the Russian State Museum of Arctic and Antarctic: Saint-Petersburg, Marata Str., 24a, Northern Gallery.
